PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article for film formation which is composed mainly of fullerenes and is used for film formation. SOLUTION: The article for film formation comprises a molded product composed mainly of fullerenes. The article for film formation is preferably in a bar form and used in formation of a release film or a lubricating film. The film composed mainly of fullerenes can be applied to release agents, lubricants, and other applications such as colorants, writing implements, cosmetics, and repairing materials.
