<p>The gels, for use with moving electrical contacts such as commutators etc., comprise (a) a lubricant pref. 70-90 wt.% semi-solid long chain satd. hydrocarbon and 2-6% perhydrosqualene, (b) an anti-corrosive pref. 5-15% unsatd. carboxylic acid such as caproleic, laurelic, oleic, and ketoleic acids, (c) a fixer, pref., 0.5-5% Pb salt of (b) acids, and (d) an anti-oxidant, pref., 0.1-3% phenolic antioxidant such as p-nonyl phenol, di-tert-2,4-p-cresol, and diphenylol-2,2-propane.</p> |
