<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block suppressing run-out rotation of the cylinder block and to provide a radial and an axial piston pump/motor using the cylinder block. <P>SOLUTION: A ring 15 is disposed in a circumferential direction of an outer peripheral surface of the cylinder block 3 for rotation together with the cylinder block 3 and a plurality of grooves 17 are formed at equal distances in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder block 3. The inner peripheral surface of the ring 15 corresponding to the grooves 17 is formed with guide faces 16 having a desired circular arc radius r. Weights 20 are disposed in the spaces defined by the guide faces 16 and the grooves. The circular arc radius r of the guide faces 16, a length R from the rotation center O of the cylinder block 3 to the center P of the circular arc and the diameter D of the weights 20 are set so that the square root of (R/(r - D/2)) is a natural number.
