<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device capable of increasing the braking force or the driving force of a wheel. <P>SOLUTION: The control device performs the first steering operation of steering a wheel 2 by the first angleθ1 in the first steering direction from the initial position P0, and the second steering operation of steering the wheel 2 by the second angleθ2 in the second steering direction opposite to the first steering direction after the first steering operation. The ground contact state between a road surface and the ground contact surface of the wheel 2 is improved thereby, and the braking force or the driving force of the wheel 2 can be increased. For example, when a vehicle travels on a snowy road, a water film generated between the road surface and the ground contact surface of the wheel 2 can be extruded to the outside by steering the wheel 2 in the right-to-left direction.
