A structure and a method for holding a paper medium in a withdrawal part of an automated teller machine is provided to properly hold the paper medium according to the thickness of the paper medium. A lower transfer unit is located under a transfer path of a paper medium, and defines the bottom of the transfer path. An upper transfer unit has at least one upper roller, a movable roller(211) mounted adjacently to a withdrawal unit, a lever(213) rotatably mounted on a stationary roller which is rotatably mounted on the end of the lever, and an upper belt(214) traveling along a circulating path by the upper roller, the movable roller, and the stationary roller. The upper belt moves along the transfer path of the paper medium together with a lower belt. |
