<p>It is intended to provide a technique of separating polonium with the use of a microorganism and a bioremediation technique by clarifying microorganism species participating in the gasification of polonium and comparing the gasification abilities thereof to thereby specify a microorganism having a high gasification ability. Thus, a method of polonium gasification characterized by comprising using a microorganism belonging to the genus Chromabacterium or the genus Escherichia (colon bacillus) is provided.</p>
