The adapter (1) has clamp yokes (3-5) for clamped holding of sections of bus rail (6-8) and electrical contact elements that can be contacted at least in areas by the bus rail sections via openings in the underside of the adapter. Each clamp yoke has an approximately L-shaped clamp part and a pivotable yoke linked to it. The arm length of the adjustable pivoting yoke is different to that of the clamp part.
