PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus in which a transmission result report is not printed in color any more when a transmission document of a color image is transmitted, utility of color printing is not charged any more, in addition, contents of the transmission document can be confirmed in a monochromatic image and furthermore, a user can be notified of a reason why a color image is converted into the monochromatic image and added to the transmission result report. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises a setting means not to add a color image to the transmission result report, so that if the transmission document is a color image, image data are not added to the transmission result report or if the transmission document is a color image, transmission image data are converted into a monochromatic image and then, image data are added to the transmission result report.
