<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive locking mechanism to prevent a connector from coming off after insertion while holding it when inserting a wiring board (FPC for example) in the connector used for various apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting ports (9, 9') of the wiring board (8) are formed at both sides of the connector (6). Locking pieces (15-1, 15-2) are provided in contacts (7) positioned at the connecting ports (9, 9'), and the hook parts (14-1, 14-2) of the locking pieces (15-1, 15-2) are engaged with steps (17, 17) of the projecting parts (16, 16) of the wiring board (8) to prevent the connector from coming off.
