PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-up display system capable of obtaining image information with high luminance. SOLUTION: The head-up display system 10 reflects projection light, composing image information, by a partial reflecting means 50 and displays the projection light as a virtual image formed by the partial reflecting means 50. The head-up display system 10 includes: an image display device 20 for emitting the projection light; and a projection means 60 by which projection light emitted from the image display device 20 is emitted to the partial reflecting means 50. The projection means 60 has an emission side directivity by which projection light emitted to the partial reflecting means 50 is guided to a direction of the partial reflecting means 50.
