PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method for reinforced glass plates having a strength enough to be adopted as a rib glass, for example in fabricating rib glass of a glass screen, accomplished by joining one reinforced glass plate furnished with holes and one splice plate furnished with holes or two reinforced glass plates with each other with the aid of splice plates by meas of friction bonding by fastening them together using high-tension bolts with a simple joining member interposed. SOLUTION: The joining method for reinforced glass plates G has a join where the plates G are pinched by splice plates from two sides with a friction member 2 interposed, and works on the basis of a friction bonding for joining together the reinforced glass plates through the splice plate 1 or joining one reinforced glass plate with the splice plate by a friction force generated when the reinforced glass plate(s) and splice plate(s) furnished with holes for admitting insertion of high-tension bolts are fastened together by bolts and nuts penetrating through the holes.
