DOUBLE-RIDGE STRIP ROLLING METHOD

FIELD: bar rolling processes and equipment, possibly rolling strip shapes with two high and narrow ridges in rolling mills having horizontal two-roll and universal four-roll stands. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rolling rough strip with two ridges and flanges; then rolling it in intermediate and finish roll grooved passes; deforming rough shape in universal four-roll passes at directly reducing ridges by means of vertical roll and lateral face of upper horizontal roll and at directly reducing flanges by means of lower horizontal roll and horizontal face of vertical roll; controlling height of ridges by reducing them in horizontal two-roll pass. Invention provides condition for eliminating shear drag of shape ridges along height. ^ EFFECT: creation of favorable condition for rolling strip shapes with high and narrow ridges and strips having ridges without slopes. ^ 11 dwg
