<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the efficiency of processing and the improvement in response by preventing any overhead at the time of instructing cancellation, just after the start of processing by delay-processing the start of distribution processing, by using grid computing in an MFP, and increasing the number of distribution after the lapse of a time. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing system is provided with a network means, a plurality of arithmetic processing means connected to the network, an image processing start means for instructing predetermined image processing start, an image processing stop means for instructing the stop of the started image processing, a processing distribution means for distributing the image processing to a plurality of arithmetic processing means connected to the network, and a delay control means for distributing the processing by the processing distribution processing means after the lapse of a predetermined time after the image processing start is instructed by the image processing start means.
