A self-excited luminescent substance comprises grains of luminescent material (e.g. sulphide) and grains of inorganic tritium compound, preferably tritium adsorbed upon titanium or zirconium, and the two kinds of grains are separated from one another by a coating of copper, silver or nickel, preferably upon the tritium compound and deposited electrochemically. |
