PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jumping preventing mechanism for a grating easily after-fittable to an existing grating without needing to remove a member in the case of removing the grating. SOLUTION: The jumping preventive mechanism for the grating prevents jumping of the grating by turning a locking arm 4 provided at a gutter-like frame body 1 fittable to the grating, and engaging the locking arm 4 with a locking member provided at the internal wall of a skeleton to prevent jumping of the grating. A bottom plate part 2 of the frame body 1 is provided with an operating shaft insertion hole 2a, while the locking arm 4 is fitted to the lower end of an operating shaft 3 formed as a turning operation part. The operating shaft 3 is inserted through the operating shaft insertion hole 2a so that the locking arm 4 is placed along the lower face of the bottom plate part 2, and its head part is loosely inserted in a shaft guide part 10 provided at the upper part of the frame body 1. Inside the frame body 1, an intermediate part of the operating shaft 3 is mounted around with a spring 6 compressed between the bottom plate part 2 and a clamp 5 provided at the intermediate upper part of the operating shaft 3, and the operating shaft 3 is always sprung upward by the spring 6.
