<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose hard capsule in which mechanical film strength is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: A process for preparing the cellulose capsule in which the mechanical film strength is improved comprises: (i) preparing an aqueous solution of solubilized cellulose; (ii) adding sucrose fatty acid ester, potassium pyrophosphate and glacial acetic acid to the aqueous solution of the solubilized cellulose; (iii) adding a mixed solution of iota carrageenan and agar to the resulting admixture; and (iv) allowing obtained product to stand, adjusting the viscosity of the product and forming the capsule from the product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
