PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersing nozzle for continuous casting, which can further elongate its service life by effectively suppressing the sticking of inclusions to the portion of a whirling vane even when the number of times of its use has been increased. SOLUTION: The immersing nozzle for continuous casting is arranged on the down stream side of a flow rate regulating device arranged on the bottom portion of a tundish, and has a twisted plate shape whirling vane 2 arranged therein. The twisted plate shape whirling vane 2 is formed such that its shape satisfies the following conditions: (1) Its outside diameter is within the range from 50 to 250 mm. (2) The length of the twisted plate portion in the down stream direction of molten steel is within the range from 30 to 200% of the outside diameter of the whirling vane. (3) Its thickness in the horizontal cross section is within the range from 5 to 30% of the outside diameter of the whirling vane. (4) The twisted angle of the whirling vane is within the range from 60°to 180°, and further, the helical angle of the twisted plate shape whirling vane 2 is formed so as to be smaller on the inlet side of molten steel and larger on the outlet side of molten steel.
