PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus which facilitates the recovery work of treated dust by carrying to a recovery chamber separately installed the treated dust which has been treated at a treating part with air sent to the treatment part by an air blasting means at the time of the treatment work in the treatment part. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment apparatus is provided with a treatment part equipped with a rotation treatment tank for mainly treating garbage, a heating means for heating garbage in the treatment part, a recovery chamber of the treated dust which has been treated in the treatment part, the air blasting means to the treatment part, a passage of air blasting from the treatment part to the recovery chamber and the air blasting means for sending air to the air blasting passage from the treatment part. The treated dust which has been treated in the treatment part is carried from the upper stream side air blasting passage to the recovering chamber by floating the treated dust with the blasting air sent to the treatment part, and the wind speed in the recovery chamber is decreased than that in the air blasting passage so that the treated dust is recovered in a storing part of the recovery chamber, wherein to the recovery chamber a storing box for the treated dust is installed and the storing box can be withdrawn outside the housing from the recovery chamber.
