PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively increase the eccentric wear resistance of a pneumatic tire 11. SOLUTION: By a shearing deformation in the circumference which occurs between a road surface and a belt layer 23 at the time of a high speed traveling of the pneumatic tire 11, a reinforcing layer 33 which is arranged between a remaining belt ply 25 of the belt layer 23 and a tread 28, is deformed. However, in the reinforcing layer 33, a non-stretchable reinforcing code 34, which is tilted within a range of 45 to 90°to the tire equator S, is embedded over the total width, and therefore, the reinforcing code 34 functions as a resisting body for the deformation.
