PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate which is made by laminating protective films on a half surface or both surfaces of a polarizer and cutting into a prescribed size and is capable of suppressing the occurrence of cracking due to a stress etc. accompanying an environmental change while maintaining qualities of the polarized plate.

SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is made by laminating protective films on a half surface or both surfaces of a polarizer and cutting into a prescribed size and is characterized in that the cut end surface of the polarizing plate has a resin coating layer.
