Composition, for coating surface area based on an aqueous polymer dispersion, comprises a content of a fine-crystalline limestone powder, an amorphous limestone powder, an amorphous silica, a pigment and a modifier, where the ratio of the aqueous polymer dispersion to the total content of the limestone powders, silica, pigment and modifier is 3:1. An independent claim is included for a method of treating primary and/or secondary with polycyclic, aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated low-molecular, aromatic and/or aliphatic hydrocarbons contaminated surfaces comprising applying the composition.
