PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process an image signal precisely and efficiently when obtaining desired image data. SOLUTION: When a camera mode is set in a portable telephone, setting for the storage destination of image data is read, and image signal processing corresponding according to the setting of the storage destination is executed (steps 200, 202). When an image is photographed, image data for storage, where the image signal processing corresponding to the storage destination is performed, are generated for recording to the storage destination in which the image data have been set (steps 206-224). In this case, when the purpose of photographing is set as storage to a PC, or the like, photography information is generated for recording with the image data (steps 218-224).
