<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of heat generated in an LED display, and to improve displayed color and brightness of the LED display. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel 21 of a display module 20 consists of a blue LED, a green LED, and a red LED. Respective upper contacts of the blue LED, the green LED, and the red LED are formed in a common surface, and respective lower contacts are formed in a common surface different from the common surface for the upper contacts. The upper contacts are anode contacts, and are connected to a common anode pin. Respective cathodes of the blue LED, the green LED, and the red LED are connected to respective pins. Heat generated by the difference between forward drop voltages of the LEDs is reduced by setting the difference between driving the blue LED and driving the red LED and the green LED in applied voltages to the anode pins. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
