PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional carrying type conveyor chain capable of easily adding the carrying function corresponding to the carrying needs, by individually and easily installing and removing a ball unit and a carrying auxiliary unit in and from a chain link. SOLUTION: In this multifunctional carrying type conveyor chain 100, the chain link 110 of integrally molding an article loading part 111 for loading an article and a plurality of hinge parts 112, is connected in large numbers in the chain longitudinal direction via hinge pins 120, and the ball unit 130 for holding a free ball 131 rotating being exposed to both obverse and reverse surfaces of this chain link 110 and the carrying auxiliary unit 140 installable by substituting for the ball unit 130, are respectively and alternatively inserted and installed from the chain longitudinal direction with respective hinge parts 112 and 112.
