PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably store a backup disk, and easily eliminate the storing state. SOLUTION: This disk drive has a turntable 3 and an optical pickup in a recess 2 formed on the upper surface of the main part 1 of the device, and a lid 5 which opens or closes the recess 2 and is hinged freely to move up and down at its rear edge of the recess 2. It opens the recess 2 by moving the lid 5 up and places a disk D on the turntable 3 to turn it at high speed and reads the information recorded on the disk D with the pickup. A storage bag 16 is formed integrally at the back of the lid 5 to store a backup disk Da. This storage bag 16 has a storage plate 18 in parallel to the lid 5 with a space 17 in between which is larger than the backup disk Da to insert it into the space 17 opened upward by moving the lid 5 up.
