PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing device for effectively using data by reporting that the data with a low reproduction frequency is recorded in a recording medium to a user, and effectively using the recording medium. SOLUTION: When the user selects music data to be reproduced by operating an operation part 2, the selective music data is reproduced and one is added concerning the times of reproduction of the music data under reproduction in a reproduction history table which is stored in the memory 3a of a CPU 3. In this case, when the music data where the times of reproduction are smaller than reference times exists in referring to the reproduction history table, the tune name and artist name of the music data are displayed in a display part 8 together with a character. The user recognizes existence of the music data with the smaller times of reproduction by viewing the display part 8 to properly perform the reproduction, erasure, or preservation, etc., of the music data.
