Treatment of human keratinous fibers comprises coloring with a ready-to-use coloring composition comprising a paraphenylenediamine oxidation base (substituted by a cationic radical); optionally washing with a composition (A) comprising anionic surface-active detergent of alkyl ether sulfate and/or alkyl sulfate; washing with a composition (B1) comprising amphoteric and/or zwitterionic and/or soft anionic and/or nonionic surface-active agents : Treatment of human keratinous fibers comprises: (i) coloring with a ready-to-use coloring composition comprising a paraphenylenediamine oxidation base (substituted by a cationic radical); (ii) optionally washing with a composition (A) comprising anionic surface-active detergent of alkyl ether sulfate and/or alkyl sulfate; and (iii) washing with a composition (B1) comprising amphoteric and/or zwitterionic and/or soft anionic and/or nonionic surface-active agents e.g. alkylpolyglucosides, monoglycerol or polyglycerol and rinsing; and (iv) optionally drying or allowing to dry, after each washing. An independent claim is included for a kit comprising a coloring composition and optionally a composition comprising at least an oxidizing agent; optionally at least a washing composition (A), and at least a washing composition (B1).
