<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transmission and reception techniques of content data capable of implementing a DTCP system adopting IP protocol communication in a high function form such as transmitting content data of a wide bandwidth. <P>SOLUTION: In a content data transmission/reception circuit 101, a processing property storage 111 stores a processing type externally given and a communication address of a transmission destination unit.
