PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely rotate a charging roller with respect to a photoreceptor drum without slip. SOLUTION: A drive gear 61 is fixed to one end part of the photoreceptor drum 5 and a driven gear 62 to be engaged to the drive gear 61 is fixed to one end part of a shaft 16 of the charging roller 14. When the drive gear 61 rotates in the direction E shown by an arrow, the driven gear 62 rotates in the direction G shown by an arrow integrally with the charging roller 14. Consequently, the charging roller 14 rotates without generating slip between it and the photoreceptor drum 5 even when a load by a charging roller cleaner 49 is applied to the surface of the charging roller 14.
