PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving an output signal of a mobile terminal, particularly of a UMTS mobile terminal. SOLUTION: The method comprises steps of: (a) clipping the output signal so as to reduce it from the peak-to-average power ratio to a predetermined threshold; and (b) sending the clipped signal to a power amplifier designed to amplify the clipped signal. Consequently, a design of the power amplifier of the mobile terminal is independent from the number of channels used in a digital processing chane of the mobile terminal.
