A vulcanizable rubber composition for use in vehicle endless-track pads and high-load pneumatic tires is disclosed, wherein the composition provides an increased resistance to blow-out when the vulcanizate product is exposed to high-repeated deflection. The rubber component of the composition consists essentially of one or more non-halogenated rubbers, and is compounded with hydrotalcite in an amount of 3-20 parts per hundred parts of the rubber component (phr). In one exemplary embodiment, the rubber component consists essentially of natural rubber. The present invention also provides an endless rubber track for a track-laying vehicle comprising a rubber pad that is vulcanizate of the vulcanizable rubber composition. In addition, the present invention provides a pneumatic tire for a high-load vehicle comprising a rubber tread that is a vulcanizate of the vulcanizable rubber composition. |
