PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinch, handled with small force and a wash hanger using the pinch. SOLUTION: This pinch 10 includes two plates 12, 14, wherein the end part of the main surface of the plate 12 has a projecting part 16. Two plates 12, 14 are superposed one on the other with the projecting part 16 inside. The opposite ends of the two plates 12, 14 are provided with a locking part 18 for locking two plates 12, 14. The locking part 18 is provided with a spacer for separating two plates 12 from each other for the height of the projecting part 16. Two fingers of the hand are applied to two plates to push open the sides having the projecting part 16 of the plates 12, 14 in the horizontal direction to the plane of the drawing, and with the wash as material to be held interposed between the two plates 12, 14, two plates 12, 14 are again superposed one on the other to thereby hold the wash in the pinch 10.
