<p>Humidifier for imparting a pre-selected moisture content to a fibrous mat, comprising- (a) at least one spray nozzle with a first pipe for a liquid spray medium terminating in a nozzle orifice, and a second pipe for a gaseous atomising agent terminating in a nozzle orifice surrounding the liquid orifice, (b) a connecting pipe between the other end of the first pipe and a reserve of liquid spray medium, itself containing a reserve of liquid free from pressure, and a further connecting pipe for supplying gaseous atomising agent ot the other end of the second pipe, so arranged that the current of air coming from the nozzle outlet on the second pipe draws up liquid from the reserve and sprays it as a mist onto the fibrous mat to be humidified. Level indicators are preferably provided in the reserve storage to show the liquid contents.</p> |
