<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for preventing the occurrence of unexpected failure, and for surely updating necessary software by collecting failure information due to existing software, and updating software only when it is necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor is provided with: a collecting means for collecting the information of the failure of software to be used inside an information processor; a storage means for storing failure information collected by the collecting means; a detecting means for detecting whether or not software to be updated is present in an external device; an acquiring means for acquiring the software detected by the detecting means and information of the software; a determining means for determining the update importance of the software from the failure information stored in the storage means and the software information acquired by the acquiring means; and an updating means for updating the software inside the processor by the software acquired by the acquiring means according to the update importance determined by the determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
