<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bright reproduced image free from deterioration in the whole screen even when an image except an image bright only in a part of a reproduced image can not be obtained though the incident angle of reproduction illumination light to a recording material is finely adjusted to a change in the volume of the recording material. <P>SOLUTION: When the change in the volume and the change on the refractive index in a hologram recording material are generated during hologram recording and when one defectless reproduced image can not be obtained even if the angle of reproduction illumination light is changed and the closest state where a Bragg condition is satisfied is made, the position on the recording material of the reproduction illumination light is changed while the incident angle at this time is held, and reproduced images 51, 52, 53 are acquired on the same page.
