<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connector capable of quickly connecting and disconnecting an outer casing of a Bowden cable assembly with respect to another structure. <P>SOLUTION: This cable connecting apparatus 14 for a bicycle comprises a first connecting member including an outer casing supporting portion 90, a wire guiding projection 94, a first contact portion 112 and a holding structure 150. The wire guiding projection 94 includes a first side wall 130, a second side wall 134, a third side wall 136, a forth side wall 138 and an inner wire passage 116, a distance d1 between the first side wall 130 and the second side wall 132 is shorter than a distance d2 between the third side wall 136 and the fourth side wall 138, and at least one of the outer casing supporting portion 90 and the wire guiding projection 94 is continued in the circumferential direction.
