The folding frame for platforms, podiums, and suchlike consists of telescopic posts (1,1') interconnected by crossed support struts (2). Both the lower (3b,3'b) and the upper (3a,3'a) diagonally disposed telescopic struts are connected by spatially diagonally positioned stabilizing struts which meet at the diagonal crossing point at junctions which are orientated along a center axis (14) which is perpendicular to the square base surface of the square formed by each four telescopic posts. The crossing point junctions are installed on an additional support post (9) movable in the longitudinal direction of the center axis.
