PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector which is fitted to the front panel of an equipment correctly and certainly and can prevent the loosening of its fitting as much as possible. SOLUTION: The electric connector has a shield case 20 and is formed with an attaching face 1A to the rear face of a front panel 30 of an electronic equipment. The shield case 20 has a cylindrical shape by bending formation of a metal sheet, and a housing 1 has the face 1A and a housing part 3 formed recessed from the face 1A. The shield case 20 is housed in the housing 3 and has an elastic contacting portion 26 which is made by bending formation of a part of the shield case, and the elastic contacting portion 26 protrudes from the level of the face 1A of the housing 1. At fitting of the electronic equipment to the front panel 30, the elastic contacting portion 26 elastically contacts the above front panel 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
