The dial has a valve disk unit (4) attained by a valve head (2) of a combustion engine valve (1), where the disk unit is formed by separating a valve base from the valve head. A front side of the valve base pointing into a combustor forms a display area of the dial. Recesses are provided for retaining needle shaft and date display units. The disk unit is made up of high-alloyed steel or chromium-silicon-steel or chromium-nickel steel. An independent claim is also included for a watch.
