<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and improve productivity, by relaxing dimensional accuracy and assembling the accuracy of each member, and improve light efficiency by suppressing leakage of outgoing light outgoing from each light-emitting diode. <P>SOLUTION: A large number of light emission units 15, in each of which a wiring board 17 having a large number of LED's 18 mounted thereon is furnished on a radiation plate 28, are arranged in a plurality of lines on a back portion of a liquid crystal panel 8, to construct a backlight portion 3 for providing illumination light. A reflecting portion 6 for reflecting the outgoing light, from each of the LEDs is constructed of a large number of reflecting sheet pieces 27 attached to each of light-emitting units and a reflecting plate 26 fixed on a reflection plate receiving portion 40 formed in the radiation plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
