The proposed method for early detecting kidney fibrosis in patients with diabetic nephropathy implies carrying out routine clinical studies, biochemical analysis of blood and urine, analysis of biological material, and determining and analyzing diagnostic criteria. As additional biological material, myocytes are used. As additional diagnostic criteria, the indicator of migration of isolated myocytes and the content of urokinase are used. The development of kidney fibrosis is diagnosed if the values of the said indicators have reduced comparing with the values at the initial stage of the diabetic nephropathy.
