PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging method capable of acquiring magnetic resonance information necessary for imaging in a short period of time without lowering spatial resolution. SOLUTION: A plurality of different lines aligned on a measurement cross section whose image is intended to be acquired are excited by selectively exciting a plane non-parallel to the measurement cross section and observing signals emitted by the excited respective lines, so that one-dimensional resonance information of the plurality of different lines is acquired while avoiding the overlapping of the excitation planes.
