PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an absolute improvement of a hearing effect and a noise suppression effect of an electronic device having a bone conduction speaker such as a bone conduction cellular phone, a bone conduction headphone and a dental cutting noise countermeasure bone conduction speaker or the like as the result of the pinpoint and easy finding of a portion where the thickness from the skin surface of the head to the bone is thin. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic examination method is employed for sending out an ultrasonic pulse to the inside of a subject (a human body) and detecting a reflection wave from the interface by a probe 11, the thickness from the surface of the subject (the human body) to the above interface is examined, wherein the probe 11 is put on the head portion (for example, the jaw, the temple and the rear part of the ear) of a living body and the portion where the thickness from the skin surface to the bone is thin is examined.
