PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the reliability of the operation of a lock device. SOLUTION: The armrest is structured so that a bracket 14 for attaching a spring on the outer surface of an armrest frame 13 is rotatably inserted into a shaft 7 fixed to a backrest bracket 6, and that a lock spring 30 is fitted to the outer periphery of the shaft 7. A bending plate part 39 which is bent outward is disposed in the front edge of the bracket 14. The bending plate part 39 has an unlocking cam face 36 for holding a free end 35 of the spring 30 at an unlocked position and a guide cam face 37 for guiding the engagement to the unlocking cam face 36 to form a switching cam groove 38 whose outer side is open. The unlocking cam face 36 is formed on the inner surface of the switching cam groove 38 in the direction of upward turning of the armrest 4 to be inclined, descending toward the outside in the direction of the axial center of the shaft 7.
