<p>The illumination module (2) has two laser assemblies (6,7) with a group of three lasers (B,C,D) and a single laser (A), feeding light of different wavelengths into optical fibers (11). A first scanning region (3) has longitudinally movable lenses (12,13). Light from the two optical fibers is mixed using fully and partially-reflecting mirrors (14,15). The light passes through a confocal beam forming device (16). There is a further partially-reflecting mirror (17) and a scanner (18). There is a further scanning region (4) including the microscope stage (23), an objective lens (21), halogen lamps (29,24) and mirrors.</p> |
