PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning composition for an automatic dish washer/dryer not leaving behind an unsoluble residue (agglutinate), excellent in dispersibility and solubility. SOLUTION: The cleaning composition comprises (a) a water-soluble inorganic compound-including particle, wherein a hardly water-soluble compound or a hardly water-soluble compound and a water-soluble compound are present on the surface of a water-soluble inorganic compound nuclear particle, and (b) a surfactant, in addition to the surfactant contained in the water-soluble inorganic compound-including particle. Furthermore, it is preferred that the cleaning composition contains (c) a compound that dissolves into water for the generation of hydrogen peroxide, and (d) a compound that reacts with the hydrogen peroxide for the generation of an organic peracid.
