<p>The repair method has a damaged area of the front windscreen removed by milling or drilling before filling the resulting recess (4) with a clear glass substance. The damaged crystal structure and sufficient surrounding glass are removed to obtain a recess with a regular shape, e.g. a spherical shape, in which a glass body (5) with a matching shape and a flat front surface is fitted and secured by an adhesive or by thermal bonding. An independent claim for a device for repair of a visible fault in an automobile front windscreen is also included.</p> |
