Passenger oxygen mask

In case of a decompression the pilot has to direct the plane to the next available airport at a particular height in order to save fuel. The passengers have to be connected to an oxygen supply by wearing oxygen masks (2) resulting after some time in a dehydration of their bodies. Each of the masks (2) is designed in a conical shape (4) to be attached to the face and is fitted with a connecting facility (10) for a bag (12). An opening (16) with an elevated border (20) is positioned at the front (8) of the mask (2) in order to insert a drinking straw. A lid (22) with slots arranged in a star shape prevents air from entering the mask (2).
