CONTENTS DISTRIBUTION SERVER, CONTENTS DISTRIBUTING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents distribution server in which a contents purchasing process for every terminal is not required when the terminals are owned by a same user.

SOLUTION: A contents distribution server 20 is provided with a contents DB217 which stores contents identified by a contents ID by employing a plurality of files respectively having different attributes and a user DB220 which stores the contents ID of the contents purchased by the user for every user who is identified by a user ID. In the contents distribution server 20, the user ID of a first terminal 10-1 is registered in the user DB220 when a purchase process is conducted by the first terminal 10-1. When a distribution request is made by a second terminal 10-2, retrieval is made for the user DB220 based on the user ID of the second terminal 10-2 without conducting the purchase process and contents having an attribute that can be used in the second terminal 10-2 are obtained from the contents DB217 and the contents are distributed to the second terminal 10-2.
