INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH EXHAUST RECIRCULATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine equipped with an exhaust recirculating device which has a bypass passage for bypassing an exhaust emission control device arranged in an exhaust passage and allows exhaust recirculation by exhaust gas passing through the exhaust emission control device even when the bypass passage is employed so as to prevent the temperature of the exhaust emission control device from exceeding the predetermined temperature.

SOLUTION: A bypass control valve 16 can be brought into a first state in which a bypass passage is closed so as to prevent exhaust gas from passing through the bypass passage 8 and a second state in which the bypass passage is opened so that a part of exhaust gas passes through a first exhaust emission control device 6 and the rest of the exhaust gas passes through the bypass passage. A first exhaust recirculating passage 10 is connected to an exhaust passage 4 on the upstream side of a junction part of the bypass passage.
